Still not yet in bottle, the 2013 Hermitage Blanc has come on like gang busters since last year and yields the terrific perfume of crushed rocks, stone fruits, almond paste and brioche that's almost only found in the whites from this magical, south-facing hillside. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and vibrant, it will need a year or two of bottle age to really show its stuff, and will drink well for a decade after that. Jeb Dunnuck.
