Showing even better from bottle than barrel, the 2012 Hermitage Blanc is a deep, concentrated and serious white that offers notes of charcoal, stone fruits, white peach, wet rock and wood smoke. It has largely integrated most of its oak (it spent 24 months in once used barrels), but will be even better in another year and have over a decade of longevity. Jeb Dunnuck.
