I’ve loved the 2012 Cote Rotie Chateau d’Ampuis every time I’ve tasted it. Offering up gorgeous notes of dark fruits, pepper, charred earth and smoke, it hits the palate with a full-bodied, concentrated, deep and chewy texture. Incorporating 7% Viognier and aged just under 4 years in new barrels, it’s an awesome Cote Rotie that will have two decades or more of longevity. Jeb Dunnuck.
