Vintages 2011

eRobertParker.com #216 - Dec 2014

Score : (90-92)

Brilliantly perfumed and exuberant, the 2011 Hermitage benefits from the inclusion of the grapes that would normally go into the Ex Voto. Aging in equal parts new and once-used barrels, it has lots of vanilla bean, black currants, cured meats and tobacco leaf aromas and flavors. A classic 2011, with medium to full-bodied richness, loads of texture and a forward, sexy feel, it should be reasonably approachable on release, yet evolve gracefully for 15-20 years. Jeb Dunnuck.
