Vintages 2008

Wine Advocate #193 - Feb 2011

Score : (89-92)

The 2008 Hermitage has turned out to be one of the better wines of this vintage since the entire cuvee of declassified Ex-Voto was included in the blend. Its dark plum/purple color is followed by notes of roasted meats, pepper, herbs, damp earth and forest floor. This medium-bodied 2008 is considerably more concentrated than I would have expected from this vintage. Drink it over the next 8-10 years. Rober Parker.
